A collection of writing by Long Island–born writers, about the place we've called home and how it fed us.
I am putting together a 'zine of essays, fiction, and poetry about eating and drinking on Long Island. The work should be personal. For example, what's already on the table of contents are "A Re-consideration of the Long Island Iced Tea, "Bad Martinis I've Drank at Tacky Restaurants," and "Notable Experiences at Various Starbucks." Pieces can also include reporting, but everything should be approachable, and irreverence is allowed (even encouraged).
Your pieces can be anywhere from 300 to 3,000 words, and I'll be able to pay you a little bit. Please send pitches and questions via the form below.
